  4. GUS configuration for Ravenloft 2: Stone Prophet.

  6. This ZIPfile contains
  7. - RL2GUS.TXT    This file
  8. - RL2GUS.EXE    The RL2GUS executable
  9. - SOUND.CFG     A sample configuration file
  10.  
  11. Ultrasound support was apparently removed at the last minute. This little
  12. hack modifies the SOUND.CFG so that the game can be configured for GUS music
  13. and/or sound. It's really no big deal, it's just convenient.
  14. For instance you can use an SB16 for digital effects and your GUS MIDI synth
  15. for music. Of course the other device must be configured with the sound setup
  16. first.

  18. The arguments that can be passed to the RL2GUS executable are:
  19. - S     sound
  20. - M     music
  21. Either one or two must be given. The program differentiates only the first
  22. letter of an argument, case-insensitive.
  23. I.e. "RL2GUS S" configures for sound while "RL2GUS s Music" configures for
  24. sound and music.
  25. Make sure you run RL2GUS in the Stone Prophet directory.

  27. A sample SOUND.CFG is supplied in case the sound setup program has trouble
  28. creating it(can't see why that would happen, though). Copy this to the Stone
  29. Prophet directory and run RL2GUS to set your configuration.
